Delete your account and data
This page explains how to delete your Cờ Metis account and the personal data tied to it.
Option 1: in the app
- Open Cờ Metis and go to Settings → Delete Account (in the Vietnamese interface: Cài đặt → Xoá tài khoản).
- Confirm the request.
- Your account is erased 3 days after the request. During those 3 days you cannot play, and you can cancel the deletion from the same screen.
Option 2: by email
If you can no longer open the app, write to privacy@playmetis.com with the subject "Delete my account". Include your display name or player ID if you know it, and the Google, Facebook or Apple account you linked, if any. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before deleting it. We aim to answer within 7 days.
What is deleted
- your player identity and profile (display name, profile photo link);
- the bindings to Google, Facebook or Apple sign-in;
- analytics identifiers tied to your account;
- your in-game currency balances and progress.
What we may keep
- records we must keep by law, for example purchase records for tax and accounting;
- match records that other players’ histories depend on, kept without any link to you;
- copies in database backups, which expire within 7 days;
- server logs, which are removed within 90 days.
Linked with Facebook, Google or Apple?
Deleting your account here does not remove Cờ Metis from the list of apps on your Facebook, Google or Apple account. You can remove it there too: Facebook → Settings → Apps and websites; Google Account → Security → Third-party access; Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.
