A familiar board, but most pieces start the game face down. A piece only shows its face once it makes its first move.
You cannot memorise the opening. You read the position, guess what is hidden and commit before you know everything.
The game is coming to iOS and Android. Its title and release date will be announced later.

The reveal
A face-down piece only shows its face after its first move. Until then, nobody knows what it is.
Capture
The cannon jumps its screen and the captured piece flies off the board. Every piece type has its own capture effect.
Check
The general in check shakes inside a ring of embers, and the whole board knows.
Checkmate
The game is over: the losing general burns on its own point.
